After Kuopio I drove further south near the Russian border. On the way there is an art installation next to the road: Quiet (silent) people. Looks already
disconcerting, certainly suitable for reflection. Arrived at the campground in the vacation center Rauhalahti, it went first swimming in the slightly crowded lake. There was
even a bathing place only for dogs, which was not so crowded, but I dared not 🙂.
Afterwards, I biked to Kuopio, a quite respectable place with a beautiful waterfront at Lake Kallavesi and a very lively downtown.
After strolling through the market, I rode back to Rauhalahti and took another walk in the forest around Lake Kivilampi.
After the unspectacular drive to Porvoo I was already back on the south coast. Unfortunately, the Sun Camping place was here at no water, so I tried to walk past
downtown Porvoo to the Gulf of Finland. However, everything was so plastered there with private properties, that I had to turn back without seeing the sea. Porvoo
itself is the second oldest city of Finland, one recognizes it like in Oulu at the red painted warehouses at the river.
So I strolled for a while through the place, some view steamers laid off here towards the sea. Then I still had to go to the other side of the river, in the supermarket
Food grasp, in order to give myself at the end of the farewell beers 🙂. Because it was the last evening on the Finnish mainland.
